This week’s mix also comes with a special announcement!!
That’s right, I am hosting a Freestyle Night.
Sunday Night April 26th at The Loft
I asked my good friend and South Philly mix tape master DJ Bobby D to spin for you that night.
If you ever bought a freestyle mix tape back in the day from the Record Bar chances are, it was Bobby’s work.
This past Sunday afternoon Bobby came over to my house and made the mix posted here.
It felt like old times, back when Bobby and I would mess around on my Dad’s equipment in the basement.

Over the last few months I have been blessed to be busy with work and DJing.
But it hasn’t given me much time for me or the music that I enjoy.
Yes, as a DJ I get to play a lot of music. But becuase the job of a DJ is to please the crowd your playing for, you may not get to play what you personally like.
I thought I’d share with you a style of music that I enjoy. This is a mix that I did back in December 2006.
It’s a little deeper and I feel has a sweet, sexy feel to it.
Pour a glass of wine, sit back in your favorite chair and let me take you into the deeper side of DJ Eddie Tully.

This past Saturday Night I played at a posh little lounge in Old City called Bijou. It was a 30th birthday party for my friends wife.
The birthday girl asked me if I had some Salsa music and being a fan of Salsa myself, of course I did.
The guest loved it and almost the entire place was Salsa dancing.
The mix that I posted here, was something I put together for my dear friends wedding a few years back.

I definitley wouldn’t say that this my best mix. But I had to get this one done for Beth, as promised.
These songs represent a much different time in Hip Hop music.
A time when it was about the music, your lyrical skills and having fun.
So even though the mixes are so so, I had fun making it.
These are some of my favorites and I hope yours too.

After many, many requests I finally got around to completing a freestyle mix.
Had I known i would have as much fun as I did doing with mix I may have finished it sooner.
I only scrachted the surface of the collection that I have accumulated over the years and will go deeper and deeper as this blog grows.
As always I hope you ENJOY!

To download any of these mixes look for the text under the music player at the bottom of each blog that says “DOWNLOAD”, click on it.
A new window will pop up that has a green button that says “DOWNLOAD”, RIGHT click on it
A tab will appear, Choose “SAVE TARGET AS”
There will be another window that pops up, this is where you choose the location you would like to save it on your computer. I usually pick “MY MUSIC” folder or “DESKTOP”.
It will then download to your computer. You could burn a CD, import onto your iPod or keep it on your computer.
This is free and contains no spyware or virus’.

For week three of my Podcasting adventure I have decided to move things up into the current year.
The mix contains some of this year hottest Top 40 club hits and remixes thus far.
I promise, promise, promise I will get a Freestyle and Old School Hip Hop mix done soon.

Due to a busy work schedule I have not been able to get a new mix complete this week. Sorry.
But here’s a mix that I found in the archives. It’s from April of last year. There are some fun songs you may have forgotten about mixed with songs that were newer at the time this was recorded. Rate R - explicit language
Don’t forget to RSVP for the Old School Night on March 6th at LaSatnza. $5.00 if your on the list $10.00 at the door.
Enjoy - Eddie

My good friend Russ specializes in “one stop shopping” event services including state of the art photography and videography along with the DJ services that I would do. He will also link brides with all of their purchasing needs, such as toasting flutes, party favors, guest registry books, custom photo albums and framing. His studio is right on Moyamensing ave but will also shot any where on location. Give him a call at 215-778-5407
