so far, 2012 has started off be great year and music is back to being music.

This is a fun mix that I recorded live at a place called Serafina. This is a small, casual and very hip place to be and be seen in.  Located in Philadelphia's Ritttenhouse Square section of the city, this trattoria offers Italian dinning, an eclectic bar scene and a fun vibe that has allowed me to have fun with music. Hey, Just because I start playing while dinner is still being served don't mean that I can't get the party started. These are some of my favorite smooth RnB, Soul and Pop favorites of many decades that you may hear during your main course one night...Enjoy!

That night the King's Oak was packed for the viewing of the Eagles game and I played this set during the half time break.

This past weekend was 4th of July and I was at the Nervous Beach Party hosted by the Art of Electronica.

I got to hear sets by Pablo Ceballos and Oscar G and for the last couple days have not been able to get the rhythm out of my head.

For my first mix of the new decade I decided to break away from house music.

This mix starts off with some hot hip hop-ish tracks and ends with the current pops dance hits.

It's bit different than what you maybe used to hearing on the podcast but if you ever hear me play live you know I always drop a little taste of hip hop.

Today (December 19th 2009) Philly is beinng slammed with 12 to18 inches of snow. Most people are pissed off but I am a HUGE fan of this weather and see this as a great oppurtunity to complete the "END OF YEAR" mix!

2009 was one the best years for dance music since the late 90's. I am grateful for the great talent of todays DJ's, Producers and Artists that have helped me keep dance floors moving all year. These songs are some of the most requested that I received during year and each one sparks a memory of a moment that I experienced this year.

 This mix reminds me of my early days of DJing back in grade school.  This all started with my stumble on to Facebook and reconnection with all of my old friends from the past. The memories of walking through the streets of South Philly with a boom box looking for the biggest card board box to use as a break-dance stage, battling different crews or going to the teen dances are still fond.  I hope this brings back good memories for you and gives you the urge to get up on your feet and do the The Fila, The Cabbage Patch or maybe a Head Spin .
